Rider names and team names

Does any of you guys know the right reason for that some Team and rider names not are the real ones?
I have heard some like: The teams wound not like to co-operate or that they would not accept the offer from focus and Cyanide to have them in the game. But do any of you know the right reason ?

Thats how they appear in the game unfortunately, you need to download a database from the download section to your left Wink

from my knowledge it is because Cyanide's bid was high enough or someting like that

As the others sorta said, Cyanide doesn't buy licenses for all teams. The teams with fake names are the ones Cyanide doesn't have licenses for. It's easily fixable by downloading pretty much any DB from the downloads section, from real name DBs, which fix only names, to very light DBs, which will also correct shirts, logos, and then of course the bigger packs.
