Hi,
I´m about to buy PCM 12 since I found it for only 19,99 Euros, and I was wondering if there is no Fast Editor for PCM 12. Lachis Editor is to complicated for me since Countries and Teams has only numbers and I dont know how to see only spcecific things, like only the riders from Germany or something like that.
Ty.

On Lachi's Editor, I believe there's an option to change the numbers for the names like in the Fast Editor. But anyway, there's no Fast Editor for PCM12 but the PCM11 one seems to work just fine.

It's not that complicated to figure out the countries.
In your example, you want to find out the "number" of Germany: You go to the DYN_cyclist and search for a rider you know is from Germany (Kittel for example).
edit: Same with the teams

It might be easier if you just go to the "source" tables (STA_country and STA_region)

Well, this goes to show you, that I'm just a casual user, trying to figure things out, and you actually know what you are doing |

The cyclists belong to a region not to a country, therefore it might not be easy to find them alltogether. But using one or more of the below mentioned instructions should help you find them in my editor.
In my editor you can group the data. For example if you want to see only cyclists of a specific team you would do this:
1. Make sure that the option "use team filter" is not active
2. Open the table DYN_cyclist
3. Click in the bar just above the column headers (which should open the "group by area"
4. Drag the button named fkIDteam to the area above (as descriped)
5. Open the desired group by clicking on the + to see the cyclists within
An other option would be to sort the table:
1. See point 1 above
2. See point 2 above
3. Click the column header named fkIDteam
4. Scroll down to the desired team to see all cyclists if the desired team
You can also sort by multiple columns by holding CTRL while clicking the column headers
A totally different approach would be to use the linked columns:
1. See point 1 above
2. Open the table DYN_team (to see the team)
3. Scroll down to the desired team
4. Click the + at the left of the row
5. Click the + next to "DYN_cyclist linked to IDteam"
6. Now you see all cyclists of the selected team
Obviously the above mentioned examples apply to all columns, which are linked to other tables, be it races, regions, cyclists, and so on... |

On the subject of the "Fast Editor" which I agree works great with PCM 12, I was wondering. Is there a column were I can alter the amount of money a rider demands in his contract renewal. If so can someone please tell me which one it is.

You just go to his new contract. (Cycling Contracts, enter his name, you'll see two contracts: one active and one not active, the active one is the current, not active is the new contract he signed), his wage can be viewed and edited there. |
