Although the classement seems pretty settled, slight changes can occur on today's stage. It's a perfect stage for hilly riders like Bettini, who can then be able to get back his Points Jersey although it seems unlikely he'll ever get it back from Cunego.

Today's break are "the usuals": Halgand, Mandri, Bernucci and Mori. They didn't get to the top together, but on the downhill section they worked very well together and established a comfortable lead of 11 minutes.
Everything seemed pretty usual. The peloton started chasing ... but then, 3rd placed Andy Schleck punctures! 5 of his Domina team mates drops back to help him back up, but it's of course a difficult task when the peloton has upped the pace.

Actually, it took Domina about 20 km to make Schleck regain contact with the front group. But at least, their mission was succesful.
In front, Mori and Mandri had been dropped by Bernucci and Halgand. There's 25 km to go, and they have a gap of 4 minutes to the peloton. It's looking good for them if they manage to get over the last climb without the peloton catching them.

But, of course, Cunego has to use his (probably) last chance of victory. He attacks on the climb and goes past Bernucci and Halgand. He's followed by Ricco, Schleck and Medina who surprisingly managed to get away as well. On the very short hill before the downhill to the finish line, Schleck attacks and gets up to Cunego. It will be between them for the victory then.
