Getting the message "This version of the game does not allow you to play online."

Have patch 1.3.0.0 from 1.0.0.0 installed. Do I need the 1.4.0.0 patch?

Is the Armada still active & do people play it?

For Armada you always need the newest version.

Haven`t played for ages. But I guess there are still some players although not as many as in the first weeks.
