Equipment on Hilly Stages

Hi everyone,
Does the equipment make a difference in your riders ability(sprinter will sprint worse on flat finish with MO equipment)?
If it does make a difference what's the best for hilly stages? Currently I try and balance the equipment to get the combine best FL & MO stats.

Well... Honestly, Equipment makes no difference in PCM, its useless...
So it doesn't matter, just choose the equipment that you like the most

But different pieces of equipment have various star ratings that add up to an overall equipment score.
So you're saying that has no bearing on rider performance? |

I know it doesn´t have any effect but why didn´t they gave it some effect? I don´t think it can be that hard for them to make it... |

....umm where is this idea that the equipment has no effect coming from? its not that I dont trust what youre saying, i just find it very hard to believe that they would bother with that whole star rating/buying equipment thing.
as for my own empirical data i will run a sim 10 times of the same riders with the same conditions riding the same time trial with and then without TT equip and i will report my findings back here
top 10 of all time in no particular order, not including the cannibal cause hes automatically #1:
-Gemininani -Nencini -Anquetil -Coppi
-Kelly -Hinault -Zabel -Bettini -Rebellin -Magni
..and honorable mention to Tom Simpson whos career was cut short.
Top 5 noobs most likely to tear it up this season:
-Phinney -Moser -TJ -Guardini -DURBO!

Do not bother to do it, because you will not get reliable results ... Simulation to simulation conditions change and the results are always different no matter what equipment you use

If you want to test it, then you need to do it in 3D at 1x speed. Everything else will mess it up.
Simulation is totally unreliable, even with the same material you will see huge differences. |

There is one explanation.Equipment used to have an effect in older versions of PCM, where you also had to spend money to purchase the best possible equipment. Later on they changed that feature, but didnt bother to modify some graphic elementsthat became meaningless, like equipment stars for different tarrain and commands to purchase equipment. Shame on programmers really, but you can also see it as some sort of evolution remnant, like our reptilian brain
