As my name suggests a real Rookie to PCM games so my question is probably a numpty one ,but here goes.
Is there a minimum "distance to go" in km when the Follow on button becomes lit so you can set up your sprint train?
thanks. |

Flat stage = 18km
Hilly stage = 3km
Mountain stage = 1km
EDIT: There is an exception though. If there's a categorized climb for example with 12 km left of a flat stage, the follow button wont work until after the climb has been passed.

Small add-on to that. If there is an intermediate sprint on I believe 8kms before the normal points of Pelli's response you'll also be able to use the follow-option.

I'm not sure if that's what you meant, but 8 kms before the intermediate sprint, which will not necessarily change the initial follow distance for the end of the stage.
For example:
IS (intermediate sprint) at 55 kms left -- follow available from 63 kms to 55 kms left; follow available from 18 kms to the finish.
Unless you mean like this:
IS at 14 kms left -- folow available from 22 kms (14 + 8) to 14 kms; follow available from 18 kms to the finish (merging both, you'd get 22 kms to finish).

I meant an IS at the available points from Pelli's post.
18, 3 and 1 km. So from 18+8, 3+8 and 1+8.
So an IS at 18 would mean you could start following from 26kms out, all the way to the end.
