How to change the language settings?

Hey friends, im having a problem with the game, im unable to change the in game language. if i go to settings there is only 1 language to chose from, unfortuntely one that i dont understand  i already open my save with an editor and found the language settings there but also there no option to change it. can somebody help?
would be very grateful! thank you!

Did you try to edit the config file already?
If nothing helps, you could open the local.cdb in Excel and copy the data from your preferred language to the language which is used in the game. |

i had something similair, in pcm 06 I had two options: French and Czechs. thank god there where tutorials in that game

thanks for the help!
i tryed to edit the config files, im not really sure which parameter to change and where to find the one thats responsible for the in game language. so i changed several things, like just substituting "portuguese" (the language the game is in right now) with "english" at some place, which was completely without effect. i did a few more edits and the only thing i achieved was that the start up window is now in english but the game is still in portuguese... so that is how far i got with editing the config files.. anybody knows more? im pretty desperate now
when it comes to the local.cdb, i tryed to open it in microsoft excel but it wasnt possible. how do i exactely do it?

You need an editor that extracts the DB into .xml tables, which then can be opened in Excel. Editors that do this, f.e., are the Excel Editor and the Full Editor.

Woohoo it worked!!
i didnt even copied it over, just deleted the column with portugese, now its in english

I also tried to edit the language in the config file- didn't work. What I'm trying to do is to only change the in-game language from English to Italian or Spanish (I speak and read english, I just prefer to listen to a different, more authentic language while playing). Is it possible to only change the audio language? |

If you want to change only the audio, you could change the name of the folders: in Program Files/Cyanide/PCM12/Sound/Comment, change the name of the folder "eng" to something else and then "esp" to "eng". I'm not sure it'll work, but it's worth the try
