Shortened season
jakethesnake23a
How do i go about creating a very shortened season?

What i want is to have say 5-10 races for Pro-tour and maybe 10-15 for continental tour.

So far i've tried to just modify which races are in the game and their rating (i.e. 1.1, 2.2 etc) but when i started a career the races i entered in only had my team in them (except for national championships).

What have i done wrong and is it even possible to have a short season as i don't have the time to put into a full season for a team.

Any help would be appreciated.

I guess he means that he does not want to simulate so many races, no matter if his team is participating or not.

Did you edit the database or the save of your career?
But I do not know why you have to change the rating. The easiest solution would be to delete all the races from the database. I don't know if it even is possible, but I am pretty sure that this has been asked or done before, you might want to try the forum search.

Thanks for the response!

You are correct, i'd like to play as a continental team but only race say 30 days a year or as a pro team and only race 30 or so days a year rather than the 100+ that you currently race in.

I edited the database, but i essentially wanted to have say a three week grand tour but only continental teams would be eligible (i.e. the Giro or Vuelta would be a continental race). For that i needed to change the rating. I thought i did it correct, but it's obvious i stuffed up somewhere.

I tried a forum search but nothing showed up, i'm sure others have wanted to do it as well though.

I'll keep trying and if i come up with a solution, i'll let you know.

By the way, i can't seem to reload a custom database in your editor, all it does is keep reloading the original database and i'm not sure how to change that either.

If have no clue what your last question means.

In my editor you can open all the databases which have been extracted before and then have been saved. Just select the required DB below the inactive button "delete a database".

BTW: Saving and loading is only needed if you want to continue your editing at a later time. Else you need to "Export to cdb" to build a new cdb file which can be loaded in the game.

And if you have not figured out by now: Extract cdb is needed to extract the data from a cdb file so that you can edit it.
