Crash when starting game

When I start the game, I come to the opening menu. Then I click play, and it takes 5 seconds and then the game stops

anyone know what I need to do?

Yes, I know what you need to do: Give more information.
Did the game ever work? Did you play the earlier games? System requirements OK? Did you install the patch? Which patch? Did you install a DB? Which? Did you read the official FAQ already? https://www.cyanid...mp;t=12961
