Database won't change

One of my friends has a problem in that he can't change his db inside the game. He constantly tries to choose one custom db, but the game changes to another db itself (even when he also makes the db he wants standard db).

If he removes all other custom dbs from his db folder, the game chooses official release db.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

Choose the DB and do not return to the menu options.
