So when you get your grubby mitts on the PSP version (or if you've already got it!) who will your first race or career be with?
I should probably race a few stages before I kick on with a career but if this game has the database of riders immediately prior to the TdF this year then I'll probably try the TdF prologue with Cofidis (for Brad Wiggins), try a flat stage with T-Mobile (for Mark Cav) and then I'll try a mountain stage with Rabobank (mmm Ras) before launching into a Rabobank career.
With only five cyclists per team, think of all the potential "power" teams you could have. I'm drooling at the possibility of Menchov, Boogerd, Rasmussen, Freire and Flecha.
Any better five man teams out there that you can come up with?
Sky have the money but the other Brits kept the passion.
Why not check out my story of sexy new team Film4 - Asahi in the PCM10 Story section?
Much wub to: Cav, Millar, Lovqvist, Cunego, Hinc, Voigt, Cancellara, Menchov.
Wub to: Wiggins, Boonen, Beppu, Kloden, Gesink, Rogers, Moncoutie, Roche.
Although everytime I say that I'll start a file (like when I downloaded pcmspain) with Lampre, I never do...it probably doesn't help that I dont like Cunego particularly...and I dont like the strip...I really need to re-think this. I would go Quickstep, but I've done 2 careers with them in the pc version, and the same with caisse. I don't like Rabobank or Liquigas particularly, so I guess it'll come down to CSC or Predictor Lotto. Any other suggestions? I like teams with at least 1 GC hope (Caisse) or lots of sprinters (Quickstep)
Yeah T mobile was on my list too, but I forgot to list them. They actually have a fair mix of sprinters and GC, but no one really top rate. It'll also annoy me how underated Cav will probably be - but they're definately a maybe.
I remember my first season on pcm 06 - I was Quickstep and basically did not take into account form, training or fatigue - I just wanted Boonen to win everything he could but he was a spent force by the time the Tour came around.
I guess CSC are one of those marmite teams: you either love or hate them
It just goes with the tag of being the biggest team in pro cycling, just like man utd or chelsea in english football - loved by their own, hated by the rest.
My first career was with CSC (Surprise!) and I have honestly never tried anything else as I'd eventually grow tired racing with another. The CSC riders are my boys, It's as easy as that B)
