Is protecting always a good idea?

Am i crazy or can you have more than 1 protector in PCM 12? Is this a good idea?

What are your protection tactics?

Should I just start with my weakest rider and then gradually move to stronger protectors?

Protecting is for me Heroic because I can win with lower stats against schlecks in the hills/mountains.

You can't more than 1 protector even if it would be cool Pfft

My tactics are, always protect when the pack has a very hard speed (so you are losing energy). and protect climbers and sprinters on hilly stages. Sometimes I also protect my leadout...

I always use a decent rider(decent in the skill of your teamleader) because in the mountains B. De Clarcq won't be able to protect J. Vandenbroeck because else he wouldn't be able to follow J. VDB

i start off with the weaker riders protecting my leaders to start with
then after they crack, i let the next riders take the protection
and so on, before my major domestique ends up protecting my leader up the final climb (or giving him a platform for an attack)

to use an IRL example
Knees and EBH protecting Froome and Wiggins
then Porte and Rogers (doing the same)
then Froome protects Wiggins, before Wiggins launches an attack

i don't play as Sky, but he's an example of my tactics

it's possible to win a stage/shorter race without protection, but it's nearly impossible to win MSR/Cobbled Classics without protection

there was a little bug in other pcm's (dont know about 2011 but it worked in 2010,2009) where it was possible to put all riders protecting in a train, but in this pcm it doesnt work

I tried your tactic and it result perfectly, when the peloton arrived the final mountain Wiggins spend almost no energy and won with 2 minutes in the hard mode thanks
