Hi there,

I have been trying to make some subtle changes to the abilities of some of the riders using the database editor. Unfortunately, whenever I try and load the database that I have saved and edited, it doesn't work. I can select it from the settings menu, but none of the changes are present.

Any ideas?!

What editor are you using? If you use the one which came with the game, then you have to click EDIT before you go to another rider.
If that is not your problem, then piease expain step by step what you are doing. Which file (name and path)? Which editor? Do you overwrite the existing file or create a new file? Where do you save it (path)?

Hi there,

Thanks for the info. I am using the editor that came with the game and tried the edit thing, but it still doesn't seem to work. I click on 'save as xml' after making the changes and I'm pretty sure it's being saved in the database folder.

Wrong. You have to create the CDB file.
XML is only the in-between storage. So you could start editing today save as XML, then load the XML tommorow and continue.

@Lachi - i am having the same problem, so how do I go from saving it as a XML to creating a CDB file, so it will appear correct in the game?

...download Lachi's editor, use that instead of crappy built in editor, export to cdb, problem solved, problem staying solved.

@dueceone: Of course that will not solve his problem. he already did the editing and does not want to do it again.

@jezza23: Like I said:
1. Load the XML and check if your changes are OK.
2. Create the CDB file.
