How can I add cobblestones to a stage?

Begin by clicking one of the roadpoints on the road where you want the cobbles. That will open the right hand toolbar.

In that toolbar, click the uppermost of the bars you can scroll down in when opened. Select one of the templates near the bottom. I think it's called template_06 or 07. That'll add cobbles to the whole road stretch.
