3D mode on laptop

I play PCM11 on my pretty new laptop, and when at home, everything works perfect.

When I use the battery mode though, the management part of the game still runs smoothly, but in 3D mode, I get unplayable 2 FPS max even on lowest graphic settings.

Is this a known problem for everyone or is there a way I can fix it?

It's probably due to your laptop's power management functions.

In order to save battery when unplugged, many laptops slow down the processor and disable some components.

You can usually influence this yourself. Some laptops come with dedicated programs, other just use the in-built one for Windows. If the latter is the case, left click the battery icon in the lower right corner and toy around with the settings.
