Signing Riders With A New Sponsor

Hi,

I have a question.
I am doing a carreer with Team Wit and i found a new sponsor for the next season.
But now the following problem shows up.
My maximum rider wage bill for this season is 40K, and for next season with my new sponsor its 142K.
I started to sign new riders for the next season but after 3 signings for the next season i am at the 40k mark (Current riders 20K and 3 new riders for a total of 21K) and it wont allow me to sign any more riders cause i am on the wage limit of my current sponsor.

Does anyone have an idea if this is a bug or if it is supposed to work like this?
And if it is a bug is there any way of fixing it?

either you have a full sqaud of 30 riders contracted... (most likly)
or you are in debt, were u can only offer minimum wage...
the game will not stop u signing beyond your budget

My squad atm contains 9 riders, and i got 3 new signings for the next season so that makes 12.
My current balance is something like 23000
I took a screenshot of when i try to contact a rider.

The game tells you that the estimated monthly wage of all your riders will be 43000 and that the maximum allowed wage is 40000.

I don't know what that 142000 means, but obviously not much.
