Stage 7 and we have a mountain TT today, can Lovkvist sneak the yellow jersey from under Kiverlovski's nose? Those two are favourites with Nazaret, who has done nothing so far this tour.

Dempster sets off early, although he will be aiming for the TT on the last day more. He sets a time of 28'27"

No one gets close until 25th placed Astarloza comes through for second 7 seconds short

Nazaret is right behind him, but can only manage +19" putting him provisionally 5th

Bjelmark comes through for third at +12"

Mercado took the lead from Dempster at the intermediate check, but by the finish he falls to second at +5". Dempster may actually have set a good time here.

Raisin is next and he takes 4th at +11"

Laverde Jiminez can't attack, and keeps cracking at the end of stages, but his consitency has allowed him to move up to 11th, he comes in +55" and so hangs on to his 11th spot. Can he reach the top ten in the hills?

We now move into the top ten as Stetina goes +35" for a provisional 19th

Voekler goes 10th at +20"

Vasquez has no real opprotunity to gain time after today, so will probably lose places, and will be disapointed with +41" meaning Voekler overtakes him in the GC.

He's followed by another former leader in Orozco, who seems to be exhausted after his efforts to take the jersey, and Orozco can only manage +53"

Jeannesson comes in 15th, solidly keeping kis spot, and loosing 28 seconds to Dempster.

Peterson is in good form, and comes in 4th at +9"

Navarro beat Dempster by 6 seconds on the first half however he fades and falls just short of the Aussie, although he gets the same time. Navarro looks safe in 4th place, although this race hasn't exactly been predictable so far.

Paulinho is flying and crushes Dempsters time at the checkpoint, before taking the lead by 33 seconds at the finish. What a ride.

Lovkvist is matching him blow for blow though as he goes through the checkpoint on the same time

Kiverlovski is even quicker at the half way point, taking 6 seconds out of the Portugese and Sweedish champions.

Lovkvist charges for the line, and takes the lead by a mere 1 second.

It's all down to Kiverlovski now, and he is easily strong enough to take Hollister's 5th victory by 12 seconds. To give him a slight buffer going into the very tactical stages to come.

So Kisverlovski takes the win, and a 13 second lead, will he hang on? Dempster meanwhile lays down a massive marker for the flat time trial, he could take minutes out of everyone else there.

D2 watch: Hutchings does well to claim 13th, the flat TT should suit him better as well, as mentioned before Laverde Jiminez stayed 11th, although he lost time on all his rivals.
