It's Stage one, and Davis, Sinner and Bazajev are the big favourites here today, but the one stars are more interesting, with Ajpacaja of the control team, and Serrano of Team D2 both mentioned.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat001.jpg

On this short circuit race, already on the first lap, Vink, Orozco and Bonnaford are clear. The D2 riders are setting out their stall today.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat002.jpg

Lund and Balloni join them a lap later as the gap goes over 2 minutes
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat003.jpg

At the intermediate sprint, Bonnaford is outclassed, not promising for the D2 riders, as Lund pips Vink and Balloni to the line.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat006.jpg

It's bad news for Export, as Nazaret punctures as the peloton is in full flight with 46km to go.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat007.jpg

Hasta drops back to help, but 1'30" is a lot of ground to make back when it's just the two of them
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat008.jpg

36km to go and Roulston attacks, Nazaret is now 500m from the back of the peloton.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat009.jpg

Lund wins the second sprint as well, Balloni and Orozco next. Orozco needs all the bonus seconds he can get as it looks like he may be promoted to GC leader after this stage.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat010.jpg
The break has 2'20" with 32km to go.

Roulstton lasted 10km solo, but now he's back. Nazaret is 2 minutes down and looks done.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat012.jpg

With 10km to go the break are in sight and Pirelli are swarming at the front of the peloton.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat013.jpg

5km left now and as the alst of the break are caught Montenegro tries an attack. Cal Giant are moving down the left, with Davis on Sinner's wheel.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat014.jpg

Roulston follows as Pirelli pick up the pace once more.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat015.jpg

With 3km to go Davis can't decide between Bazajev and Sinner's wheel, although he seems to be picking Sinner's.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat016.jpg

The sprint starts and it's clear he made a mistake as Cal GIant pull clear. Cimoli looked to be moving onto Sinner's wheel, but as Dupont pulled off the Pirreli chain he blocks them, giving Cal Giant an even greater advantage
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat017.jpg

As Sinner goes for it, Bazajev and Davis still haven't fully committed. Gavazzi is trying to come past them.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat018.jpg

1km to go and Davis is making his move. It's a long way to make up though.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat019.jpg

Sinner is fading
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat020.jpg

In fact, Sinner fades badly, and Davis takes a comfortable victory.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat021.jpg

Sinner only just holds off Bazajev, Gavazzi and Damrow for second.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat024.jpg

Bad news for Vasquez and Aker as he slips off the back of the peloton in the sprint and may have lost over a minute. Maybe a few more team maes would have helped him?
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat025.jpg

Nazaret sprints home 5 minutes down. Expect some crazy attacks from the Brazillian in the days to come.
i1133.photobucket.com/albums/m584/mb261289/guat/Guat026.jpg

D2 Watch: Serrano battles hard and manages to grab onto an excellent tenth place, while the rest of them stay in the peloton.
