Apologies if I'm missing this somewhere but unable to find a clear answer.
I vaguely remember reading somewhere that equipment ratings make no difference at all to the 3D races? If so does that mean they affect simulation only or are they purely cosmetic?

Thanks for that glad I've blown so many in game Euro's on them over the years then. Something Cyanide never got round to implementing properly short of a few on screen stars I suppose!

There are a number of things in this game that Cyanide have only implemented half way, sadly.
When you come to mention it it's when I was reading about the incoming 2012 database that I got the heads up. Looking forward to the development of that one, it being the starting point for me plunging head long into community created content.
As much as PCM is the only option when it comes to a cycling game and it's undeniably fun when I play it (and don't get me wrong - for that I'm grateful), things like this really put Cyanide in a poor light. It basically suggests that as long as people think a feature works they're happy to let broken things ride year after year.
Plus they just took over 2 weeks to respond to my tech help email by which time I'd finally sorted the problem with a great deal of help from these forums Edited by ianrussell on 30-01-2012 13:02
I haven't played with the stock Cyanide riders in a long time. Have been using PCM daily databases for every game I have pretty much ever played. Being the director sportif of Gamin Schlepstream or some other silly name like that isn't much fun...
