ive just finished a first season with slipstream using the geeks db
and im tyring to buy and sign riders. i put in an offer for lars michelson and when it comes to offering him a contract it says he isnt interested but i can go anywhere becuase i cant offer him a contract or end negotioations and i cant delete the message i am stuck

Yeah, that's one of Cyanide's wonders. If you have some experience with editors you may want to fix it yourself. Otherwise I'll help you. Either way, let me know.

well if Merc doesn't come back on then i will show you the way, otherwise Merc is a very good teacher
i was a noob about a year ago, but Merc answered some of my questions which helped a lot (probably doesn't even remember now though )

@ willbushby: Well the alteration in the db isn't that hard but if you haven't operated editors before you may want to send me your savegame () - and I'll fix it for you. If you want to know how to do it yourself let me know, then I'll simply translate my Danish guide into English.

where will my save games be i presume they are somwhere in the pcm folder but i cant find them |

Your savegames are located in "My Documents/Pro Cycling Manager 2007/Database/Solo/MyDB (e.g. OfficialRelease)" - and they consist of three files - mygame.cdb, mygame.cdi and mygame.cdb~.
You only need to send me the file with the .cdb-extension.

And here's your game (attached to this message).
Unpack it using WinRar. Then place it where you found the original savegame and load it in-game. Now you should be able to delete the news item and move on with your career.
