Adding equipment help

Now, I've attempteed to add equipment to my game without hassling you guys, but I just can;t do it, so here we goo....

I moved the files, garmin_helmet_aus.iff, and .dds (x3) to 3D/Cyclists/Equipment/Helmets.

I then opened up Fast Editor, and my savegame on PCMDaily DB.

I then proceeded to add the files to STA_equipment and added gene_sz_nomenclature as garmin_helmet_aus. I made all starts 13, then in fkIDequipment_unlock I entered a random number in 1230. (I think this is where I went wrong.) I put it under NAtional Champions Helmets and saved.

In game though, it is not there.

What do I need to do now? Should I just override another file?

You guessed it right: it's equipment unlock that is wrong.

Now, with some more searching you can find more explanations, but in a simple way, in fkIDequipment_unlock, you need to add the IDequipment of the equipment that will be above it on the selection screen. This means the equipment you're adding will follow this other one on the screen. The simplest is to add your equipment as last on the list, because if you want it to be at the middle of the selection list, for example, you'll have to change some more fkIDequipment_unlock.
