Becoming a member of a cycling club

I'm wondering; what is the proper "etiquette" when joining a cycling club? There's one team here where I live and it's strictly amateur level. Is there usually a try-out of some sort?

I've been into running for a few years and I have a PB at the 5000m at approx. 19:00.

Do they have a website?

If so I'm sure there is someone you can e-mail.

If not, turn up when you know people will be around, I'm sure they will be happy to have a new member

In Norway you can join any cycling club you like. As long as it is a club and not a team like Joker-Merida, Plussbank Cervelo, etc.

They will be happy for any new member Smile
Maybe I will see you in some races in the future Wink

I'm in a club in switzerland. I race national junior races and we are only 40-60 junior riders in our country. I don't know how the situation is in norway but I think most of the clubs would be happy if they would have more riders. Important is, that the club is near your home and that there are riders in your age. So don't wait and contact them Wink

Well, I live in Tromsø and if I'm not mistaken, there's one club here, Tromsø Cycleklubb. Agewise I'm 21 quite soon.
