Possible sprint bug?

Im in the Tour of Langkawi with Guardini as my sprinter. For some reason at roughly the 3km mark my sprinter who is either following Barbosa or my sprint train will just slow down completely for a little while. Just long enough for him to lose contact with who he is following. After a few seconds he regains his speed, but by now it's to late and I'm sprinting for a top 20.

I've tried playing the same stage 4-5 times now and it happens every damn time. He is not exhausted, there are no one in the way, he just stops.

Is it possible there is a turn where he loses his speed and loses contact?

No, he simply grinds to a halt before riding normal a few seconds later.

PS: Is there a way to see if a teams sponsor contract has ended and if they will get a new sponsor? After a race I saw two emails about Katusha and lampre concerning their sponsors, but I deleted them due to reflex.

I don't think I hardly ever read any of the "emails" you get because... what's the point?
