Do you observe other riders?

Do you observe other riders at all? I sometimes do it just to see what their daily form is, but I feel that it doesn't have that much of an effect. Unless thay have -/+5, that is. Is there really anything else to be read out of it?

Observing a rider up a climb to see how their fatigue is can be pretty dangerous because you won't be able to respond to an attack. Riders who are protecting some can't observe either, so many times you have to gamble by letting your leader observe.

only in GTs, when i'am battling for the GC against one or two identified main conteders, i use one helper since the very beginning of the stage to observe my competitors. if their daily form is significantly worse than mine, i set an hard pace and/or play it offensive.
