Prize money doesn't match class. files

Title basically says it. I read in this forum that prize money is attributed based on the classification files. According to them I'm supposed to get 5000€ for winning the mountains jersey at the Paris-Nice. But I don't.
This is just the first example that comes to mind because I'm not getting a lot of the money I'm supposed to from a lot of races. For example, I rarely get money from intermediate sprints or moutains.
Usually I wouldn't care but playing on top difficulty with a custom team, wins are scarce and money is tight.

I'm using the original game database updated with patch 1.0.4.4.

Thanks in advance to anybody that might help me resolve this issue.
