Question about installation of pack

I was reading the FAQ and saw that it said to install in the directory of the game. Would it be ok if I created a folder and installed in that folder and then copied and pasted files I want included to the main directory. There are some things that I do not want included so what do i do?

You can do that, but only if you know what you are doing.
Asking such a question is the first indication against it.

I actually do know what im doing copy and paste to the correct folders and everything did the same thing last year but was not sure if anything had maybe changed this year. But thank you!
