How to save and use database editors?

I'm new to this game and just bought PCM 11 last night, I'm not liking the Schleck names as well as others. And when I got to the database editor and edit, I don't see these changes applied at all. I've tried the options menu as well, no luck. Helppppp! :(

You need to click "Edit" to save your edits. Click edit for each rider you have edited.

After you made the changes stick, you can "Create the cdb database". Enter a name and save it in My documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2011\Users\[Your name]\Database

Now start the game and select the database in the options.

If you do not want to edit the database but your career, then look in the folder My documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2011\Users\[Your name]\Database\[Name of DB], there you will find your saves.
