When I've played PCM 11 for a few minutes, the computer gets very hot around the fan. I have no idea of what this might be since I've been playing PCM 10 and 09 on the same computer with no problems at all. I have tried to place the computer on a 5 cm high book and checked that it's no dust inside.
When I played a mountain stage in Tour de Langkawi, the computer automatically switched of, probably because it was so hot. I can only play one sage before I have to turn off the game and wait a few minutes so the temperature cool down. This is becoming very annoying and therefore I have to ask you guys for answer. I've been very thankfull if you give me some help!
Do you still play PCM10, if yes try if it related to the game or an general issue.
You have to find out what part of the computer is getting hot, there are tools to check the temperature of CPU or GPU (graphic), just google for them.
If you have a notebook, you could try these hints:
- Look for the air intake and make sure it is not blocked, you might raise your notebook, but using pegs rather then a book.
- Look for the air outtake and make sure it is not blocked.
- Get an additional fan (official or build your own, just don't use the vacuum cleaner as it might be too strong and kill the internal fan or the whole computer)
If you have a computer, this might help
- Leave the case open during play
- Dust out the case (if you are using a vacuum cleaner, fix the fans of your computer while you suck them clean)
- Use a fan to blow air into the case (it needs to be closed in this case)
- Use a fan to suck the air out if the case (If there is none yet / close case obviously)
- Get a stronger fan for your CPU if that is what is getting hot
- Get a custom fan for your graphics card if it is getting to hot (would mean loss of guarantee)
