Can't start the game anymore

I can't start the game anymore. I manage to get past the adds, but it crashes just before the in-game menu. The screen goes black, and nothing happens. I don't even get this box saying "error" or whatever... It just goes black.
I've been playing for a couple of years now and never had any problems. Got no idea what to do -.-

Could anyone give me a detailed explaination of what to do please, without losing my saved game??

Can't believe this is happening just before le tour de france...
