You can save the file in another format. I suppose it's BMP now - you can change it by opening the screenshot with Paint, click "Save as" and save the file as JPEG. |

or just rename the file to "JPEG" or "JPG"(think that works aswell?  ) |

Yes it does, but it doesn't change the size. Thus you'll have to convert either with Paint or any other graphic program.

Ermm. With size I am referring to the storage size of the file.
If you rename a BMP to JPG it will not affect the size, thus you will still have a >1MB file.
If you want it to be a true JPG, a compressed picture format, you will have to convert it.
