System requirements compared to pcm 2010

Hey guys,
i was wondering how the system requirements are COMPARED TO PCM 2010.
so for those of you who were/are playing pcm 2010 and 2011 on the same computer, how far did you have to lower them for this years edition to play them in a compareable framerate?

Aprox the same as pcm 2010 so if pcm 2010 worked on your pc , pcm 11 will work too.

To be honest thats not true. Theres some sort of updated Sound Device in PCM 11, which wasn't in PCM 10 and isn't compatible with every sound card. I think it has to do with 3D sound, or something like that but thats the reason I cant play. So just be cautioned, although I dont think theres any way to check if it would work or not.
Edit: I guess you did say approximately.

I downloaded the game. I dont think I will get my money back, but I'm asking the guy right now actually if there will be a patch to fix this (since he's out of possible solutions too). If they aren't making a patch to fix this I will just get a new sound card or something. They're probably only $100's anyway.

Thats a bummer , well try to find a cheap sound card , 100 bucks is too much imo , well im used to the prices in my country but i think u can buy one cheaper from the states with delivery too.

RealTek HD audio
Its already been said in "strange crash" that the problem is unknown though, and the card likely isn't the problem.

if you have realtek then is not the sound card for sure , most of us have realted hd audio and probably works , my opinion reintall the operating system probably you have a bug or a virus that fcked something.

But PCM 10, 06 and 08 all work! This is the only thing that doesn't work.

For sure something is odd , well the guy from the tech unit will make u do the same thing i told you in the end , if he cannot find your problem , problably a reebot of your system will do the trick , i know its annoying to loose all your data from the drivers and stay and reinstall everything but if that make pcm 11 work then i think you will be fine with that imo.

Yes, the Technical Support guy has told me to do this twice now, and I did it once before I contacted him too.
I also updated my Graphics card, because at the least, my graphics will be better now and it said something about 3D sound.
He's also asked for my PCM log three times to see if its changed (because he's obviously out of ideas)

so superider2000, the settings on the screenshots are the maximun ones at which the game reaches about the same (playable) framerate both for pcm2010 and 2011?
btw thank you already your post is exactly that what i was hoping for!

aha.. nice so you now almost have the same settings as last year (as i see comparing the new photo you posted with the ones from 2010 posted yesterday), except for the shadows maybe and its running equally well?

Hi all friends!
For me, the new game is a bit more demanding with the PC requirements. With the same configuration, in PCM 2011 I have less FPS. I'm still trying with the settings to reach a good compromise between performance and quality.
For me, the resolution is the parametre that affects more the game.
I play at 1680x1050 px, and with shadows enabled I have 25-50 FPS.
You can try to play the game windowed. In any cases the game improves the performance. |
