I've just finished my 2nd season in carrer mode controlling Team Christina Watches-Onfone, and after promotion to the Protour in the first season, and a respectable season in the 2nd season it's time for me to start signing som bigger names to contend for the Classics and GT's.
I've already signed Rafal Valls, Francesco Masciarelli, and Jacob Fuglsang, but I still need some for the classics.
I've read in the forum that only riders who's contract is expiring can be signed, is this true?
In the manual, it says you can contact other teams at 25th of october and start negotiating to buy a rider. How do I do that? my bankroll is at about 500K so I presume that I can buy decent rider or two!
At last who do you think I should sign for the classics, I've got a couple of really talented young riders I signed after the 1st season, so I need a rider or two who is fully developed or close to.

I guess you want some riders for the cobble classics, right?
I suggest Taylor Phinney, Tom Veelers and Matti Breschel
Right now I'm in the Vuelta in the 1st season with Leopard Trek.
ViganĂ² (sprinter/De Rosa) and Pires (climber/Barbot) will leave. Maybe I will fire William Clarke (TT). So far I signed Veelers (sprint & cobble/Skil), Stijn Joseph (cobble/Vacansoleil) and a U23-rider (4th in world ranking, sprinter from Luxembourg). Probably I will sign a climber with good TT stats. Van Garderen is on my list, he still hasn't sign a new contract.
I had a problem during the cobble classics. I only have 7 riders with 70 or higher in cobble and then Klemme crashed during RvV, so I only had 6 for Roubaix.

I don't know if this thread is the right place to put this, but here goes. As I have understood the rules it is only possible for a continental team to sign one year contracts with riders. Whereas in the game it's possible to sign three year deals. I always search for talented youngsters among the continental teams to avoid as many regens in the game, often only to find out that they are on longer contracts, which wouldn' happen IRL.
One more thing I have never quite understood in PCM is why there is no separation between pro continental teams and continental teams. Surely this wouldn't be too difficult to code?
