Raul Granjel Cabrera regularly impresses in the ProTour, but Quiksilver's pair of Martinezs are looking to take him on today. With 170km to go, they are in a group with Red Bull's Perez Marquez and free agent Alien Garcia. Granjel Cabrera is caught in a group 1'30 back

By 140km to go, the Martinezs are off on their own. Granjel Cabrera has realised the danger and is chasing - but is 1'47 down

The Quiksilver duo are working together well, but Damian is doing the brunt of the work. Granjel catches sight of the Quiksilver blue with 75km to go - but its not good news. Its only Damian, Yasmani having pressed on .. and now leading by 4 minutes

Granjel Cabrera gave everything in the chase, but blew up trying. Only just holding on to 2nd in the end, ahead of a group containing Yamaha's Cardoso Espanola

And just look how far down Damian Martinez ended. He really did help his teammate until there was absolutely nothing left - and it worked out very nicely.
