Last year, Jack Wolfskin completed their domination the CT time - trials with a win from Cornu and Reus in Duo Normand. This year, more teams have been able to challenge the time - trials though and that is also showed here, in this year's Duo Normand, with no team starting as big favorite.
Bacardi, Bbox, Cilit Bang, El AL, Milka, Pendleton's, Quiksilver, Ikea, Lego and Tinkoff are riding in what is a small equivalent for the Pro Tour's Eindhoven TTT.

I am informed that you're best off with two TTers off equal stats so I'm hoping that the similar Wiggins and Millar will be able to make a job of it. And as far as I can see, it's not as strong a field as last year. |

Whilst Wiggins/Millar certainly have the highest overall combined TT stats:
Pendletons: 156
Quiksilver: 155
C Bang: 152
Ikea: 152
Tinkoff: 152
Lego: 152
Milka: 151
El Al: 148
Bbox: 148
Bacardi: 144
I am not sure that this will enable them to win this though we shall see. I think Flat, Resistence and Stamina come into play in TTs of this length. The aging Millar has lost his touch in that regard for me.
I do think your informant is correct about equal skills though. Not sure the Ikea combo will work Larsson would have been better of course for them. Cillit Bang, Quiksilver and Tinkoff look the best bets. But good luck with this one WACKO a top five should be a nice little earner whatever happens
Edit: Yes getting confused Wiggins rides for wacko

It's wacko but whatever . I'm not expecting a win but a podium I felt was plausible - we'll just have to wait and see. Probably depends on who goes off first. |

Pendleton came here with the best Brit time - trial specialist, David Millar and the current British Champion, Bradley Wiggins.
Except Millar is the current Brit champion, and Stannard is the best British time trialist

An enjoyable little event - nice for us statisticians to get our calculators out.
As usual I sell Pendletons short, but Quiksilver are certainly moving on up - Dempster could be a real ace next year once Ignatiev moves up to the Protour. Mind you he doen't climb that great!
Ikea second - wouldn't have predicted that but then they always seem to better when you think they will be short.

Maybe it would be better idea to put Hushovd somewhere else.. But sixth place isn't that bad..
