I am looking to adjust (increase) his stat limits in TT and Hills, your thoughts on what his should be? Note I am not talking about his current stats just his limits.

borisdehaes
I don't know about hills, but not too high if you ask me.
His TT on the otherhand, should be pretty high, he already is one of the best on the track, and also in TT. 82, 83?

His prologue should be higher than TT, but 82, 83? Far too high

perhaps too high, but far too high? i wouldn't say so. the guy broke a 15 year old record on 4km pursuit, you can't do that without a lot of potential. you could be right about the prologue

SportingNonsense
Its a time trial stat, not an individual pursuit stat

it may be, but it still proves a lot of quality in the TT/prologue skill. but it's not my call, i'm just giving my opinion, as he asked and i'm sorry if this was overrated to you, but that's your opinion on the fact

SportingNonsense
I based my opinion by looking at his actual time trial results Wink

Individual pursuits and time trials, while being good at one does help for the other, it doesnt guarantee.

but this is about limits, he's only 21, so he has enough space to grow.

Wow. 74/75 sounds low to me. Not saying that I am right. I like to adjust stats but I want to do it realistic. That is why I am asking opinions. So do more people like the 74/75 or more leaning to around 80.

I know that the pursuit does not exactly translate into a good TT'er but Wiggins and Phinney are good at both

I respect everyone's opinions

roturn
In my career he has limits of about 77-78. Is enough for me as long as he isn`t more successful on road timetrials.

felix_29
I think he could reach 80 or more if he concentrated on TTs but he doesn´t at the moment so 77-78 like roturn said sounds good for me

ABridgeTooFar
Got it. I will go with 77-78. Thanks for the input

Ste117
Aged 21 I would have his stats on 74 TT and 76 PRL, with improving close to 80 he is still young and putting his stats to 80 stragght away doesnt allow to any improvement.

You are both right, but this thread is about the potential (or limit in other words) and not the stats. So you might talk about his stats in another thread.
