I am currently playing PCM 06 and have been for several years. I really enjoy the game, but am wondering if it is time to upgrade. I was wondering what the more experienced players think is the best version of PCM. I enjoy the career mode and enjoy building my own team and racing the entire schedule. I also particularly enjoy managing the races and do not simulate the races in during the race season. Therefore, i am interested in the version that has the best game simulation along with a good career management model. I would also say I am not familar with many of the changes that have occurred in the play of the last 4 versions. Finally, graphics are not a huge concern for me, playability is a bigger concern.

For pure PCM-playing the latest version is prolly the best, but I would suggest one thing that atleast gave me a whole new experience in the PCM games, and that is the man-game run on this side.
If I were you I would try to be active on the side, wait til the current man-game season is over and then try to join (SportingNonsense lets the ones he thinks will be the best join).
It's a bit different than the normal PCM, since it's all a forum game. What you do is you build your team trought the transfer season, then you select the races you want your team to participate in and the riders for each race. Then the races are raced by "Reporters" (All is controlled by the AI) and reported here on the forum. It takes quite some time but is really a lot of fun and as I said a unique experience and much better than the normal pcm.

If you're still enjoying '06 I say stick with that.
If you really want a change, if you've not played PCM08 and come fresh to it - PCM09 has a lot going for it.
Wouldn't recommend PCM10 - probably the version I have spent the least amount of time on ever. |

I really liked PCM08 because of the fact I never once had pink flags and could have several db's installed at once, but there was a lack of great db's for the game, and no 2010 ones, so I switched to PCM10.

I would for PCM 11 to see way it has to offer. PCM 10 was abut disappointing so, if you wait 5 months you can get hopefully much better version in PCM 11 |

I think 09 is the best version because the stages aren't that big iles like in 2010 and the gameplay was much better without AI problems.

I would recommend '9 more than '10, simply because the gameplay is just so much more believable and realistic. |
