Injured rider

Will the fitness training of an injured rider be normal? Like, I'm in week 20 and my rider gets injured, returning in week 26. In week 20, his level of training was 3, and in week 26 was 5. In week 26 will he have the fitness training acording to level 5(73~77)?

I'm pretty sure that his fitness will decrease while injured.

He cannot train while injured (obviously) therefore his fitness will drop and not rise.
After he returns from the injury he will start training again. If, for example, his fitness dropped to 40 he will start training on the level 2 (even if you set his level 3, 4, 5 or 6).

Generally a rider will only train on the level representing his actual fitness, else you could just switch schedules for a quick increase or decrease of fitness.

So let's say that the rider will return from his injury in a week his fitness schedule level was 5, for example, but his fitness dropped to 40. Then he will do the whole way (2-3-3-4-4-4-5) until coming back to level 5? Thanks for the answers.

Yes, as long as the schedule tells him to train up to level 5 in the following weeks.

And what if the schedule is on level 5 when he returns, next week will be level 5 again, then 5-6-5, for example? If he's meant to be peaking when he returns? And sorry for all the questions, but I never had a very important rider being injured for so long and returning in the middle/near competitions he should peak.
