Extreme mode sucks
suarsenegger
(First of all, I'm from Spain and maybe I don't use a 100% english level, if you correct me I will apreciate it Wink )

I mean that it's frustrating to prepare a stage, reach at 98 form, with 93mn 79hill... high stamina, resiliance, etc... and they beat me with 78mn for instance. they just "minute" me.

It's not nice to win alwais, but if I lose, I want to lose by 20 seconds or similar with a good rider, not being "minutate" from somebody really worse.
I've read a previos theat saying that you lose 2 point in extreme level and 1 point in difficult. That would be nice for me because I won almost everything on "difficult" level. When my rider is better, he ussually wins. A "one point lost " wouldn't mean that I attack, they reach me, they pass me, and they humilliate me. Always similar day form or only a ponit more-less.

What am I doing wrong? I'm covered by good riders (better that theirs!!!)untill I attack and they seem to have a neverending red bar.
Thanks.

I assume you have no tips for me. I'll return to difficult level wich I find more enjoyable.

Try to use the "dot" and high percentage (up to 87% is fine for me before a too high pulse) instead of attacking.
Then you should lose the energy slower but also creating a gap between you and the field.

That's what I usually do at difficult level, but in extreme they are my shadow and they reach the last 3 km more rested. Sometimes I do little attacks just to open gap at the beggining of the mountain and then go 85% - 88% but they don't last too long catching me with lower riders.

Obviously your opponents are more rested, if the only follow your riders. Follow them or use a good climber to pull your best rider.

I guess I'm not the only one then who notice that the difference between Hard and Extreme is way too big.

In Hard I managed to win hilly races so often that it became boring. Then, switching to extreme I finish in 15th ou 20th place with a rider who is considered one of the three candidates to the win. On the last hill a guy with Hill 74 attacks, all the favourites counter and I counter with my 79 Hill, 78 acc and form over 95 guy who has all the bars full. When all the others really accelerate, my guy doesn't move at all, but spending the red bar and finishing in 15th place between the guys with Hill rank 72.

And this way all the hilly races.

I don't want to switch back to hard, but this way it is not fun at all and I end up not motivated to play anymore...

So, am I doing something wrong?

What patch have you installed? 1.0.4.1 for single player is recommended.
At the moment I win way too much on extreme.

Another option would be to edit the local.cdb. Then STA_Race_difficulty
Directly the first value (the only one without track) is for normal race mode and means the bonus for the AI. So on normal it`s 1 (equal to you) on hard a bit more and extreme even more. So you could lower this value a bit. So it would be still higher than hard but lower than at the moment.
Never tried this as I am happy at the moment.

Thanks for reply. I'm using the 1.0.4.1.

I'll take a look at the Local then. Thx
