downloaded the database the other day and it's another great job by the guys.

my only criticism is the fact that the breakaway riders still don't seem to sprint for intermidiate sprints which takes a bit of the realism out of the game. it will mean that my goal to win the points jersey at the Giro could be quite easy.

is this a known problem or something that only effects me? is there any way to fix it?

It's a game problem, has nothing to do with the DB.

ok, fair enough. just 1 more question.

when the game first came out there was a problem with non-sprinters winning sprints but this was fixed. what is the difference between that problem and riders not sprinting for intermidiate sprints?

I also don`t know why they don`t fix this problem.
It worked in older PCM, too.

The difference is, that the Sprint-bug (non-sprinters winning) has been fixed and the intermediate-sprints has not been fixed Wink Sometimes there are guys going for intermediate-sprints, but only good Sprinters. So only at early IS, when breakaway groups are small enough (<3 riders, or even no breakaway group) to get some points in peloton, too.
