Is there a way to set all the equipment combination (C1, C2 and C3) to 48 stars? Because I would like sometimes to give a different helmet or bike colour to only one of my rider if he's wearing a jersey , but C2 and C3 combinations have everything set to 24 or 25 stars, so I guess that rider will perform worse...

Or can I do it anyway because it doesn't do much of a difference?

It doesn´t make any difference - those stars are remnants of previous versions. In PCM10 equipment doesn't affect performance
