is it possible to turn roadside on

but buildings off?

i have to play on almost minimum settings, playing with no barriers or blocked roads is not realistic enough for me, so i tick roadside box which is great but also buildings now appear and they slow down my game, id like just to have roads blocked, sometime i dont know which road the men in tight pants will take.
