okay, i've gone through about 18 pages of threads here, but there's no mention of improving sprinters stats.
Using the training camps, you can make serious improvements in riders climbing, cobblestones, time trialing, but is there anything that will improve a rider's SP/ACC stats? |

Training camps are like doping, so they are considered cheating by most players. Additionally training camps improvements are only temporarily. If this is what you are after, then you are out of luck as there is no training camp for sprinters.
To really improve your riders you need good coaches and the appropriate training. |

have upgraded the coaching staff - did that early doors
training camps are like doping??!! yet people all edit their db's to give them better rider stats, more money, etc... I cannot see anything wrong with a training camp - riders normally do them, so why not in the game?? |

To be more precise:
The other teams do not use training camps. That is why training camps can make an average rider to be a GT winner.
And if you did not know, the game difficulty is only affecting to the rider values. So if you raise the difficulty of the game, your riders virtually have lower skills as displayed compared to the AI riders. Therefore it makes little to no sense to raise your skills to "regain" the advantage.
If somebody edits the stats of his riders in the DB to win the races, he is not only cheating but stupid, because it is almost impossible to lose when playing on easy. Once again, to raise the difficulty of the game but also the skills of his riders is just crazy, but I guess some people feel better if they win the games on the hardest levels even if they have to cheat.
Generally it is up to you, nobody will judge you how you play unless you start bragging about it.
And a final hint: When you start the career, you are asked about the evolution speed. If you plan to play several years (in game) then you should set it low (0.5) but if you only play one or two seasons, then you should set it to 1 else your riders will not evolve too much. |

hmmm... while i don't recall the evolution selection, i didn't realise that the AI riders didn't evolve, or use training camps. Would have thought that would be part of the game and a realistic occurence to include in it...
i won't be editing anything, but i will manage my team realistically with a training camp here or there to match real life rider evolution with game rider potential
like fuglsang for example - stellar season, but ordinary in the game...

The AI riders do evolve through training, but they do not take part in training camps. |

What exactly do you want to tell us? This thread is about training camps which improve stats. And it is about PCM09. So your point would be? |

I mean that in first games Ai did it, but now it's not. I think that in future games Cyanide should again make teams to go to training camps. At least, pre-season camps.
I just wanted to ask, are you people think pre-season trainings are also cheating or not?

My opinion is clear: yes, it is cheating as well. |
