I was just wondering how I would be able to edit the stats of the riders in my Custom Team in PCM 09. I have searched the forums already and can't seem to find a definite solution.
I just recently took up the game again and remember when I used to play a couple months ago when it came out, I actually won a few races. Can't remember how I managed to do it, but I can't do it any more. haha
So basically I just wanted to figure out how to use the Generic DB editor that comes with PCM 09 so I can edit my riders statistics. I have tried this many times with Steven Cazza, however whenever I click edit at the bottom right of the editor and I save the XML and close the editor, then open the game and look at his statistics. His stats are the same.
When I open the editor again, they are reset to their defaults.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your help ahead of time.

Instead of saving to XML, you have to save as .CDB. Make sure to create a new one instead of overwriting the old one. |

How do I create a new .CDB file? Sorry for the bother.
The editor only allows me to OPEN a .CDB file or OPEN a .XML file. The "Create the CDB database" under file is grayed out.
Do I have to open the current database from my Solo career and then create it as a new .CDB file? So I can't edit the current CDB file but I can open it and then create an entirely new one with the same general statistics, just my riders will have different stats?
When I do that will it show up as a new career save file in game? Or will it just edit the current database in my current career saved game?
And in doing this, will the new higher average and higher statistics make Cazza have a higher salary?
Thanks again for the assist.

Alright well I edited the .CDB file and created a new one adding 1 onto the end of it. Now whenever I try to open the game it freezes and tells me that the program has stopped working properly and I am forced to close. |

Weird.
Delete the file again, and the game should work.
What I suggest you do is to use a different editor. Hannes Editor (available from the download section) is easy-to-use, but is instable and might not work for you.
Otherwise, you can use Hannes Converter and/or the Advanced Editor (last one is available from the PCM08 DL section). These are more advanced, but are stable and definitely works.
Editing stats using those editors are done by loading DYN_cyclist. |

CLE-ditor - yes, one's been made for PCM09, but it's not really updated with the changes in the DB structure. I did make them aware of this and am awaiting a new version before I start recommend using it. |

The Hannes Editor is a good thing to use. I found really easy and very helpful. |
