Once again, thanks a lot for the pushing and nice comments!
And to make the day even better, I think I've found the problem! All tests has had a positive outcome, so I'm almost certain that I can make this work!
The frustrating part is that I'll have to redo all the work, a third time. Oh well, I think it's worth it anyway!

Same goes for Contador
Will you actually remove him from your game?

Pelli, I feel for you, i really do because i am going through the same thing that you are
I am currently about to start my database updates for the 3rd time as well
I update the new team rosters and add some new races into the game and when i test them out they work fine, but when i start a career and try to race in the TDU - BANG , the game crashes
I have re-set the game many times with help from both Laachi and the Official Website yet still the same problem happens
I am totally P****d off now, but i am desperate to play the game

Glad to see you around here guys, waiting for the reports to start again!
@ fcan: Nah, I think I'll put him as a free agent during 2012, and then possibly add him to a new team for 2013.

It's great to see that you've hopefuly found what's delaying the restart of this story. Sometimes I wonder why do these problems occur when we feel super motivated, or the story is one of the best in this section. |

Thanks a lot. It looks very promising so far, as everything has fallen into place perfectly. Also, I'm now using the Fast Editor instead of Lachi's, which should make this go a lot faster.

Sucks that it happened. But like others have said I cant wait for this to come back.
Dont be surprised if I come calling to ask for a solution to this problem in a few weeks

You said it. Really boring when doing it for the third time.
But now to the good part! After spending more or less my whole day off school by the computer, I've for the third and last time edited everything into place. And after one final test, I can now inform you that the db works perfectly!
So excited at the moment I gotta play the Aussie champs immediately! So the first report should be up in just a short matter of time! Finally!

Thanks a lot guys! Here's the Aussie Champs!
08.01.2012: Mars Cycling Road Championships
A soaky day is to be expected on the hilly course in Buninyong. Heavy rain is forecasted during the day, so it's possible that the riders take it easy in the descents because of the slippy road. That might favour a smaller group in the finale, as the peloton might have problems organizing a chase.
On the contrary from what I thought, the race ended up in a mass sprint between more or less all the whole starting peloton. An early jump from Allan Davis looked like it had secured him victory under the kilometer-to-go banner, but an incredible turn of speed in the very last metres saw Saxo's David Tanner edging past Davis, stealing the victory from GreenEDGE.
Mitch Docker felt weak the whole day, mainly because of his early season bad shape, and therefore wasn't able to become a serious threat in the final sprint. No big deal for us though, as this was everything but a target race.
| 1 | David Tanner | Team Saxobank | 4h44'50 | | 2 | Allan Davis | GreenEDGE Cycling Project | s.t. | | 3 | Baden Cooke | Team Saxobank | s.t. | | 4 | Heinrich Haussler | Team Radioshack - Nissan | s.t. | | 5 | Nicholas Walker | UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling | s.t. | | 6 | Michael Rogers | Team Sky Pro Cycling | s.t. | | 7 | Stuart O'Grady | GreenEDGE Cycling Project | s.t. | | 8 | Matthew Goss | GreenEDGE Cycling Project | s.t. | | 9 | Simon Gerrans | GreenEDGE Cycling Project | s.t. | | 10 | Luke Durbridge | GreenEDGE Cycling Project | s.t. |
08.01.2012: Mars Cycling Time Trial Championships
The weather cleared up for the time trial two days later, giving the riders a much nicer ride on the 38 kilometer flat course. The route is one for the pure specialists, with no real difficulties at all along the way. Pre-race talk named Cameron Meyer and Michael Rogers as the two big favourites, creating a bit of a Sky vs. GreenEDGE match.
Meyer proved capable of handling the pressure put on him by the media, by showing who's Australia's best pure timetriallist at the moment. Rising star Luke Durbridge also made it a one-two for GreenEDGE here, knocking down Sky duo Porte and Rogers to third and fourth. Docker once again suffered from his bad shape and didn't get anywhere near a top result.
| 1 | Cameron Meyer | GreenEDGE Cycling Project | 53'51 | | 2 | Luke Durbridge | GreenEDGE Cycling Project | + 29 | | 3 | Richie Porte | Team Sky Pro Cycling | + 39 | | 4 | Michael Rogers | Team Sky Pro Cycling | + 46 | | 5 | Jack Bobridge | GreenEDGE Cycling Project | + 1'05 | | 6 | Rory Sutherland | UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling | + 1'24 | | 7 | Michael Hepburn | GreenEDGE Cycling Project | + 1'47 | | 8 | Matthew Goss | GreenEDGE Cycling Project | + 1'51 | | 9 | Cameron Wurf | Garmin - Barracuda | + 1'51 | | 10 | Michael Matthews | Team Radioshack - Nissan | + 1'58 |
PS: Sorry for the weird looking picture from the road race. The bad weather made the screen so dark I had to brighten it a lot, therefore the strange light colours.

GreenEdge domination. Well at least the number of riders in the top 10. In the road race they obviously totally failed.
Docker not in a good shape. Although he wouldn`t have had a good chance in such a sprint finish probably. |

Interesting results in Australia. GreenEdge fail at start, but save it at the end. Now let's hope 1T4i going to dominate TdU Good luck

Guess who's back? Back again? Pelli's back! Tell a friend!
There was nothing Docker could do in the Champs... but the real races are coming soon. |

Great story. Like the idea of doing transfers and team changes yourself. If there's one part Cyanide never managed to get right...
Also like the outcome of your 2011 Tour haha ;-)
Good luck with 1T4i or 'project' as Harmon calls it, in 2012 |

The sprint was really strange, as the riders who started it from the front blocked the ones behind them, with Tanner being the single lucky one managing to find a gap.

Yeah, Greenedge are probably very disappointed with the road race outcome. But weirdest of all was that none of their riders caught the break, or tried to attack up the hill. I guess they were all going for Goss. TdU should be entertaining indeed!

I certainly am.
I'm looking forward to the next races too!

Wow, thanks ruben! Very nice to hear.
And also glad that you like the transfers. I'm just fed up with Cyanide's crappy PCM-esque transfers, so I figured it would be nicer to do it myself.
Oh, and I knew you'd like the Tour. But Gesink is after all the second best climber in the world in this career, now that Contador is gone.
