Anyvody knows what happened with Santambroggio ?
Seemed like the only guy capable of following Nibbles for the first 2 weeks, now i can't even spot him in the race anymore

Santa has never been GT rider, he lacked recovery. He was good for 2 weeks and then blew in 3rd week, happens a lot. Still, he got great Top 10 for him.

He was still stronger in the mountains. Wiggins won that Tour in the TTs. Nibali won this Giro by being the best climber and one of the best timetriallists.

It's his first time leading in a GT. Probably just couldn't handle three weeks.

Think about how would Betancur ride if he didn't have to change bike 2 times and workd hard to get peloton. Nibali is today's hero, as well as all of TOP10 guys. Hat off
This
He could have been able maybe to stay with Nibali and take second place and maybe overtake even Scarponi for the 4 place in the GC. |

Would've beaten Evans by 4 seconds if it wasn't for the crash on stage 3.
True that.
I couldn't care less about Blanco. But that was definatly Scarponis own fault. |

Had they gone head-to-head, who'd you think would have won. Take this into account aswell:
Stage 1:
95. FROOME Chris SKY 01'25" 0
Many people forget this!

Who cares how he won it. We knew after day 1 won that Wiggins won the Tour. Besides - Froome was his personal bitch last year.

Still doesn't change the fact that it was already decided Wiggins won the Tour after 1 stage. Which was way more predictable at an ealier stage than Nibali's win was this Giro.
You knew Nibali won after stage 8 this year. But as I said Wiggins won after stage 1 in the Tour and therefore it was more convincing (and boring). |

You clearly have another definition to 'convincing' as me. At what point during the Tour did you think "Wow, Wiggins really is the strongest rider in this peloton"

Just saw this:
He really needs to leave Radioshack, or he's going to turn into Andy 2.0.

I didn't think "Wow".
I thought "Eeeww, Wiggins won the race after the TT".
So that's pretty convincing. To win a GT on the prolougue. And even putting Froome as a reason to not making it convincing even though he was 3'21'' behind, was his personal bitch, and was nowhere near ever getting a huge gap on Wiggins, then it was extremely convincing. |

Dude, did you see any of the mountain stages?
He dropped Wiggins twice on Peyragudes and on La Toussuire, without even trying to.

Froome was alrady 20" infront of Wiggins on La Toussuire when he got called back. And you think he would not have taken atleast 30 seconds on Peyragudes?
