Woah, what a Tour victory. Congratulations Henry, and such a impeccable showing overall in the Tour de France so far. Hope it will continue and get even better.

First off, thanks guys! I'm having a lot of fun with the story at the moment. Especially in this Tour de France with Henry. I want to thank all of you who are following this stoy. I want to make it the best I can, so don't forget you can always let me know what you think
The Hobbit - Mont Ventoux. If Henry would want one stage win, I think it's there!
sutty68 - Couldn't agree more. He's not the fastest of the bunch but he's certainly one of the hardest working riders in this Tour!
anderspcm - Couldn't wish for a better Tour so far myself My experience with GTs on PCM is mostly one sided. With me either winning easily or not having a chance at all. This is probably the greatest Tour I've raced myself in PCM. I'm really enjoying the three way battle Too bad that white jersey gets in the way of showing off the tricolore jersey you made, though
Shonak - I think everyone expected Henry to take a stage, even if it's only his first Tour. Now we can fully concentrate on the battle for the General Classification. Mont Ventoux will be great, but the 40 km time trial that follows with Froome at 80 TT and Valverde at 73 TT will be less pleasant
I'm fully motivated and have nothing to do tomorrow, so I'll put in some more hours!
Expect the stage to the Mont Ventoux, but also the time trial which will hurt Henry's chances, unfortunately... |

More racing at the Tour!
After almost two weeks, this Tour is finally growing on me. I had to adapt, seeing how different this is from, for example, the Vuelta. But it helps a lot that the audience is on my side!
As of my stage win, I'm riding around more relaxed, and I think that makes me stronger.
Tour de France - Stage 12 There's no need explaining how big this is for me, right? I have only climber the Mont Ventoux four times in my life. Three times as an amateur, once in a semi-professional race.
Fourth time is a charm?
The Race A two man break, which shouldn't pose any problem at all.
The Maillot Jaune changed shoulders, so Movistar is taking up their responsibility. I also set a man in the relay, I was feeling great.
Tomorrow there is a big time trial. So I'm putting all my money on today's stage. If I can get some time today, it might make up for what I'll lose tomorrow.
Herklotz is my first lieutenant and launches me early on the Ventoux!
My first impression is that the attack is good! Froome counters, but the Maillot Jaune Valverde is lost somewhere behind!
I felt like I had wings, I have no idea why, but when I looked behind, I saw even Froome was struggling. Would I try to shake him?
I definitely wouldn't wait around for him to catch his breath. So I upped the pace slightly. I was riding against my limits now.
But it worked. I broke free! I was heading towards the top of the legendary Mont Ventoux solo!
The wind almost blew me away, but I stayed on my bike.
There are no words... All I can say is... Dreams coming true! I was the best climber in the world today.

General Classification
When I crossed the line, Van Impe was already there. He was the one to catch me as I fell down, exhausted, out of breath. But it didn't matter. He helped me sit down on the asphalt. He kept shouting "you did it, you did it!"
Some security men fended off the reporters as I needed some space. I saw black spots and almost fainted. I had pushed my limits hard today. But it was all worth it.
Winning on the Ventoux, with 2 minutes to spare, is a unique achievement, one I'll cherish for ever and ever.
Tour de France - Stage 13 The time I took on the Ventoux will be put to the test here in the time trial.
The Race Tony Martin would set the winning time of the day.
Valverde didn't impress once again. Is his engine dead, is he riding on his last breath? Will this three way battle turn into a dual one of these days?
One thing's for sure: this man will stay around to play until the very end. Two time TDF winner Froome sets an amazing pace.
However, against all expectations, he doesn't even take the top 5 here today. Even he pushed his limits yesterday, and he's paying the price for it.
I'll never forget this moment, never of my life. I was ready in the Maillot Jaune. All eyes on me. I saw banners with my name, my face on it.
The hills of the terrain saved my life today. On the flat sections, I was losing time quickly, but the climbs and downhills gave me some space to work with.

Amazing, there are no words to describe it! I could have never hoped for it. After the time trial, I am over a minute in the Maillot Jaune!
Can I defend it from the best stage racer in the world, Froome? Will Valverde come up with a master plan and conquer the hills? Is our team strong enough to defend this jersey?
There are still two flat stages, two hilly stages, three mountain stages and a time trial. The hunt is on.
Henry

Waoo, I'll catch up a few stages, and what I find?????
That is an amazing race. No mistake so far and a lead well deserved.
Can't wait to see if Froome can challenge Henry or not!

That is just amazing. You were not ready to win Le Tour you said earlier on?

Oh wow, this is amazing!
Hope he can hold on, though a lot of tough mountains left...

Atlantius - It must be! Too bad he wore that white jersey instead of the tricolore, though
Jakstar22 - Exactly, can't get better than that
duxili - I imagine catching up was fun? No mistakes so far, that's a good observation. I think this is the first race where Henry has made 0.0 mistakes so far, not even the tinniest of mistakes. Yet Froome won't give up without a fight, I'm sure.
Selwink - Well, the final 4 stages will decide about that!
tpinot - I know, me too! I really hope Henry turns 25 soon, I don't want that white jersey
The Hobbit - Then I shall answer in the same language:
anderspcm - I think so. Two Tour stages, what can be better than that? Maybe the WC
Jesleyh - Yeah. It's a bit scary, to be honest But we'll fight for it!
Dippofix - A legend? Isn't that too early? Maybe a legend in the making Thanks a lot, mate!
Thanks for the major support everyone
I know I'm going super fast right now, but I can't help it
Though don't feel obligated to read every single update if you can't follow. You can see quickly what sort of stage it is, and mostly only the mountain stages and time trials are of importance from now on
