here's the PCMdaily Racing Champion table after March:
1st) Tomzk111 - 21 points (possibly 31 if he gives me a result sheet of his last win)
That is all

I think I just scored my first points. Bissell's Tim Farnham putting on a weekly race series and I got third tonight. Tim won and a local Cat 2 rider was 2nd.
It was 53 miles, 3 "categorized" climbs and 2 intermediate sptints. I was 4th over the top of the first KoM and on the ride into the sprint I pulled back an attack by the Cat 2 when Tim was out of steam, then pulled back another attack by Tim himself. I was looking for a town limit sign cause I new a sprint was coming up soon and Tim surprised me by going for nothing in particular.
I asked him what he was sprinting for he told me it was the Pink Elephant a fairly famous bar

I was 5th on the second climb 3rd on the second sprint(which was a town limit sign) and 4th over the last KOM. My teammate tried to give me a leadout but misjudged the sprint at the finish by 3 miles(he dropped me off 3 miles to go, no joke) We tried again and he dropped me off this time with half a mile to go and I went. Tim came around me left and the Cat 2 came right then Tim let loose and blew everyone apart (Bissell hired him for his big sprint)
Tim should post results on his blog at some point.

it looks more like a training ride then a race to be honest levi. it says in the rules at the start that club events don't count. unless it was an event officially organised by and run under the rules of the governing body over there then i'm afraid you won't be able to claim points for it.
sorry but thems the rules.
I got 20th exactly at the Bill Jinks RR on sunday. Think i've spoke about it on the your cycling thread but i just left it too late to move to the front and i got held back by people who were at the front and couldn't handle the pace so were going backwards. I was moving up fast on the people at the front but ran out of road. If it had been a mile longer i could have got to the front and contested the sprint. Club 20 mile tt for me this weekend. Gonna just use it as training and ride it on my normal road bike. Might stick in my disk wheels though cause i still want to win my clubs handicap comp this year after being cheated out of it for the last 2 seasons |

I finished mid-pack at the Napa River Velo Criterium. half-mile course with 7 turns(including a 180 degree turn into a sweeping turn), very difficult to move up
the 180 into a sweeper

Chatting it up in the finishing straight.

Less Chatting more chasing

Just finished my first race, I got last out of all the finishers (20th), but it was really fun, despite being lapped and riding alone for the last half of the race. The guy who won apparently got fourth at nationals last year, and my teammates got 3rd and 4th. It was really tough, but fun, I'll post some pictures when I have some. |

every ones got to start somewhere deadpool. everyone gets dropped in their first race. it's what makes you stronger and hang on longer next time. keep it up and keeo us informed of how you get on.
as for me i finished second in my club tt on saturday. it was an undulating 20 mile course which i did in 52:35. mixed feelings about the result. i'm happy because i rode on my road bike and beat several guys who where on tt bikes. however, i was 15 seconds slower then at the same point last year and missed my pb for the course by almost 2 mins. surely riding my road bike instead on my tt bike can't make that much difference? |
