I like the fact Penko continues to put himself out there in the break. Even in these stages that clearly don't suit him. Although they don't suit any of my riders tbh
My last wish for this race is that everyone makes all the time limits

Holy fuck 2.0, can't just have it in one race I guess, so P-N and T-A team up nicely.
How in the WORLD do you get dropped by riders 2-4 points worse in MO just because you went for ONE KoM?
Egger tried to save the day there later on, but honestly it's not gonna make up for that pathetic showing. We don't go into breaks to secure a participation trophy.
We need a much more successful break on the last stage to make sure this isn't the last impression we leave in this race.
It was weird indeed. When I saw Vasyliv there I thought he would win the stage, but he messed up big time!

Unfortunate that Olivier lost a few seconds on riders not stronger than him, e.g. Berhane, Amador, Quintana but fair enough really as he also did best 2-3 riders, that could have been ahead.
12th in GC can hopefully improve still a bit as top10 always looks better. |

YES! Not often a Volvo jersey win a mountain stage! Hopefully Alarcon can recover well and do two good last stages aswell and protect that GC place!
I dont think he will end at 3rd but we can always hope! |

Still looks very good for Evonik. 3 riders in the top 25 gc rn looks insane depth results for me but considering the remaining profiles im not convinced we can keep that sort of result.
Good ride by Budenieks too. Imo it was the right choice to sacrifice the u25 jersey for a shot at the KoM jersey but it wasnt enough. Hopefully he will try again on the last mountain stage to claim further points.

That didn't go too well eventually. Morton spent a lot of energy for a kinda lame result, but at least he managed to limit the losses due to his effort. Definitely needs to get a better result soon though, as anything outside the Top-5 (3) would be disappointing.

Dombrowski has to do better than just a top 10 here.
I have no idea how Tolhoek was so close to him so late in the stage but kudos to him.

Hmmm obviously a bit disappointed Meintjes couldn't hold on to the main group of favourites so it seems a top 10 GC will be difficult right now. Hopefully it gives us a little leeway to attack early and see if that works out

Festina stomping their home race, great to see!
Nothing worth mentioning for us here.
With 4 riders between 9'40 and 11'30 off the lead, we should be in a good position to be aggressive tomorrow and either attack the KoMs and/or hope the break makes it. Ideally, it's one of the new PCM's signature large breaks and we get several guys into it to cover all fronts.

Great win from Lecuisinier here, exactly like we hoped to see... Morton stepping up is nice to see too. Great trippleheader for Bennelong!
One more stage to go! Lecuisinier have to win this race, but seeing how poor Bongiorno, Mavrikakis and Zoidl performs I can be a bit scared that we can’t control things...

Nice effort by Morton again and opposing to last stage, he's rewarded with a good stage result this time. Lecuisinier probably not beatable in this form, so a 2nd place seems to be the maximum. And I'm obviously hoping for another good day to secure this podium.

And just like everyone always expected: Evonik extended their lead in the team classification on this mountain TT.
GC still looks great after a good ride by Chiarello and a great one by Tvetcov. Hopefully they can defend their GC positions on the last stage...

I was really hoping Dombrowski would turn things around in this stage, but he just seems to have one bad day after another.

Seeing the history between them - when there is a top result at stage, I definately won't rule out Morton just yet. On paper it should be possible to keep the distance between them to less than 1 minute, but oh dear have Morton made for some bad situations in the past.

Finally Olivier with a top10 here when always listed on the favourite screen.
11th now in GC, will be hard but not impossible to enter the top10 on the final day. He needs a good day though.
Dombrowski the huge disappointment here really. While Lecuisinier, Morton and Alarcon all behave like 84/85 climbers, Dombrowski is just riding like the other ~81/82 climbers. ebuddy can only hope for a big final stage and more luck in future races. |

Painful to follow Galta in this race, as all stages up to now have been very disappointing. Sitting 28th in the GC says it all
Hopefully this isn't a sign for what's to come the rest of this season, then it will be a very difficult one for him. |

Somewhat mediocre race for us, but I guess we were always relying on T-A to bring the points home anyways.
Excellent reports throughout Ulrich, appreciated them. Pretty cool to see the old Avenir rivalry Lecuisinier-Morton materialize again, congrats to both managers on a great triple header for sure.

Congrats to SotD on the win. Really great reporting Ulrich, race was enjoyable throughout. I'm surprised to see Schelling out-perform Amador in the GC, and I take this as a very concerning sign for this season. But strong ride from Schelling nonetheless.
