Congrats to Abhi and thanks for another great report Ulrich.
Denz was riding out of his skin to stay with the leaders today. Looks like he could hang on to the 2nd in Young Riders. Looking at the strength of the riders behind him a top 15 GC result would be fantastic.
Scheit getting 4th from the break was a real bonus in a race where any points were welcome.

Yeah, definitely not Kump's race. Saving energy was probably our best move, Waeytens has a big day tomorrow.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

At least GC wise Mohoric doing okay for you.
This 10th by Vesely is the best I got from this race so far yet with a potential winner on every stage.
In the end I can`t complain too much though, having had luck in other races, now time for a stupid race as well I guess. Not De Bie`s season though. |

Wonderful! A calm day under the mediterranian sun, exactly what we hoped for. And I wish the same for tomorrows stage. A breakaway win by a small gap and the peleton rolls in as a completely assembled field.
But seriously, I'm pretty sure EBH has this one, as it's only a matter of seconds now.
It would be too stupid to see Calmejane win this race. It was fun while it lasted! |

Well played Avelino, you can't lose if you don't even try!

Hoping for a big shake up tomorrow. I think Kinoshita would only move up the rankings if there are big gaps tomorrow.

I hope both Sakalou and Skujins will join the break on the last stage. Both need to make a big gain: Sakalou kom points and skujins for gc and stage.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Super happy with that stage 7, top 2 on 1 stage might really salvage this race for us. Hopefully Chamorro can sneak into that top 20 or something on this last stage with Duchesne winning the KOTM? probably just wishful thinking actually |

We were in the discussion all through the stage but didn't have enough in either the KOM or the GC. Not a bad race for us, but not sure it's enough at this stage of the season.
Congrats to Bjartne on the win! Makes life even more difficult for us in the relegation chase. Both them and Lierse had a good race.
Thanks to Ulrich for the great reports

FFS!! No action on the toughest stage of the race?!
That stage 1 breakaway really ruined the race for us. Beltran never got above 5th in GC with probably no stat bonuses, while Waeytens and Calmejane probably profited heavily from those.
We haven't got one fluky result all season and now the underperformances have started kick in. I'm not looking forward to that next ranking update
Thanks for the reports Ulrich

Congrats to Europcar for a great race. Slightly disappointed about losing 2nd place so late, but can't be unhappy with this result, even though our direct competition does even better.
Waeytens surprised me with unexpected good results on stages he shouldn't like (as well as some time gaps on stages I expected it least). I just don't know with this guy, he probably/hopefully keeps me in with his performance here, but I still want to stab him in the eyes for some reason.
Thanks for the great reports Ulrich!

Climbed a spot if I see it right.
20th in GC despite losing time once again was clearly the maximum here for some reason.
Suits perfectly, that once I have a decent rider in the break, he belongs to those being dropped and losing 5min while the break wins.
Really nothing to remember here.
Thanks for the reports! |

Underwhelming race with few fireworks from the favourites, but Calmejane is actually a very interesting winner. Congrats Bjartne.
Borges and Trofimov were pretty much invisible. Avelino was laughable. Goh salvaged our reputation with this last day escape which actually saw him overtake Borges in the GC. Congrats on the stage victory knockout!
Finally, thanks for the impressive reports Ulrich. Brilliant job!

A race to forget for us. It started so well with Schreurs being one of the winners on stage 1, but it's gone downhill from there. I'm struggling to understand why he loses 10+ minutes to his break companions from that stage, when on paper he is perhaps the strongest rider of the four and he's performed alright before this season, but we'll just have to move on and try again.
Christensen's third place on stage 7 is a highlight for us, though we got a bit too passive in the final considering we had two guys in the final that were not the best sprinters. Can't fault our loanees too much, though. They still have their best years ahead of them.
Congrats to Bjartne and thanks for the reports, Ulrich!

Fantastic stage from Sergis. He was easily the strongest from the break all day long and won despite wasting energy on all those KoM sprints that he shouldnt have cared for. Glad to have that victory as the race would have been a desaster otherwise. I think it was his first career victory as well
The rest of the race is better forgotten quickly for us. Thanks for the reports - it was cool to always wake up to a new report.

Yeah right youre all going to be shipped out ffs. How stupid can a man like Mohoric be? And of all the riders we have we put F***ING Katrasnik in the break. I mean he is awesome, but wouldn't there be slightly better options in the team? The only thing this race was worthy to follow for was the outstanding reports. I red all of them till the end, eventhiugh it was a painful experience almost every time from a managerial perspective.

Not much to say, DiMaggio and the team was invisible, only Maksimov gained a few points. Thanks for the reports. |

The 20 photos in the last kilometer there we're horrible to watch, every time I scrolled for a new photo I expected EBH to already have a gap and Calmejane slowly fading. My heart has never beaten faster while inside this forum.
I guess it's too late to finally start performing now, but will be interresting to look at the rankings after ToA is finished.
Thank you so much for the reports, this has been an absolute magnificent race to follow (not biased) |
