It wasn't too eventful this one, but it got us a nice result with 9th, Costa's 2nd best result of the season! Couldn't ask for much more really.
Congrats SN for another GC triumph. It looks like Vesuvio is schlecking its way to PT victory this year
And another huge word of gratitude to you tsmoha, for yet another contribution.

Oh man, I really thought Koretzky was one of the strongest in that attack group. Too bad.
A huge congrats to SN. Those Schleck boys is just consistently overperforming. Must be nice to try

Thanks for the well-written reports through the whole race, tsmoha!
And indeed it's very nice to see our team finally get it right
5th overall was obviously not what we came for, but considering how it looked before the final stage, I'm pleased. Also nice to see Kruijswijk use the opportunity and get something from it. Must admit I hoped for a similar scenario to last season when I saw who he had as company in the breakaway, but can certainly not complain about the AI not screwing up
Congratulations to both rjc_43 and SN, and there's no doubt Vesuvio are looking strong for the crown now, but as the stage races left are quite unpredictable, it's difficult to name one of the top three teams as the big favourite. |

Eventually quite successful race for my team due to last stage. Bad day for Lotto, Pendleton and Becherovka, althoug I think Roman will still be happy with team´s performance here. Congratz to Vesuvio, Frank still can keep himself in saddle. Unfortunately, during whole race not very visible Wikipedia scored a lot, too. They always were on right place in right time.
Thanks again, tsmoha, for great reporting!!

Preidler saved this race for me. Though I'm afraid KoMs wont give me enough points... Preidler having a pretty great season though

Well, the race would be just perfect if Bewley could finish the last stage next to Swift and keep his top 10 result in GC, too bad he dropped due to a bad placing in the main field. But at least Sagan did here quite comfortably and 7th place is some result. Congrats to SN, Vesuvio had an amazing month, big result for rjc and ember too. Feel quite bad for wacko, I am ok with Bewley dropping after all his results here, but to see Gilbert drop, that really is not a great thing to see. Can't wait for the next race and to see rankings update!
EDIT: And Pokerstars indeed had a nice race as well, congrats beagle!

Yay! Super happy with that. Some good results by Guarnieri, but with him lacking a proper lead out (I believe I sent those lads to Moscow), he never really challenged for a win.
Was enjoying the fact that Caruso was being involved in the lead out so his stage placings were putting him top of the GC pile for those on the same time - I guess he didn't have it in him after all those lead outs to attack today, but Rabottini made up for that. Superb move by him.
I liked the group I selected for this race, as Caruso, Rabottini and Pavarin obviously play second fiddle usually to my stronger leaders, so for them to come out and perform was great.
Brilliant result for SN again, really picking up steam now for the end of season rush for Title Bragging Rights. Hopefully I can stay close by for my best ever season.
I also am slightly scared by just how dominant Bewley was in some of his wins this season, one of them in this race was a great example. I think he's probably lining up to be another Man Game Bennati... or better!

1st, 10th, 16th and 18th in GC is pretty damn good! Really great to see Frank Schleck hold on to win here - clearly the victory at Tour of Norway is reserved for Franks, after Matthias Frank last year.
Thanks for the reports tsmoha.
In terms of the route, I think a similar style race will still be in PT - just hopefully the hill stages can be made hard enough to force a real exciting race. I like the attributes of a stage race with amble sprinter opportunities, plus 'hard' hill stages - with no TT. It will have to move away from Norway though, sorry ember!

Bloody hell. Another underperformance from my team with VdHH doing terribly. In any other year he would be killing it but this year with the overreliance on the acceleration stat there is no way he can perform adequately.

Vanendert was more anonymous than usual in this race.
Thanks for the reports, tsmoha!

Sounds like a good decision seeing the hilly stages both this year and in the previous season, even though it would have been cool to line up a team of only Norwegians on home soil in the next edition. Hopefully this also means Boasson Hagen doesn't feel as much pressure as in the two editions of Tour of Norway, and finally performs close to his potential in such a race when it's moved away from home.
Let's have it in Luxembourg and finally make one of those Schlecks underperform, as the race is clearly cursed for the home team |

Great race! Congrats SN. Schumacher really outdid himself here, finally a good result for him this season.
